I'm going to start up my story I started up on 4kids just a few days ago. Before I found out about the new site. *sighs* Well, It's good to start again, [i:03616]no[/i:03616]?

OVERVIEW

This story is about a 12 year old girl who has been having strange things happening to her. Stranges dreams, she suddenly becomes a human magnet, turns invisible, and for some strange reason starts wandering off outside in her sleep! Talk about extreme sleepwalking! And then something horrifying happens, something that could change the world forever...

I post part of chapter one now.

[size=150:03616]Chapter One[/size:03616] CORNWALL, ONTARIO
MAY 10, 2006

It was a bright and warm Saturday morning as Alyssa Ferguson unpacked her backpack from the previous day of school. She had brought home all 100 A+ papers, all eighteen of them. School was such a breeze for her, although not many people knew that. If her classmates knew she was the smartest kid in St. Paul's Junior High, they would not leave her alone. And her friends would never talk to her again. It wasn't "cool" to be smart. That would make you a geek and or a teacher's pet.
Aside from being smart, Alyssa was a your average school girl. Brown hair, brown eyes... well, that's what color they were at that specific moment. In another hour they probably would be blue or maybe green. That's one of her odd perks, her eyes never stopped changing colors.
"Alyssa! It's time for breakfast!" her grandmother, Carol Ferguson called.
She ran downstairs and into the kitchen. Her cousin Tyler was already helping himself to a heaping plate full of eggs, ham, and pancakes. "Don't take all of the food! You'll get fat," Grandma said.
"It's ok. If he was going to get fat, he would have already, with all the chocolate he eats," Alyssa said, picking up a plate and walking over to the stove. "I bet you put away four pounds of it a day, right Ty? Then you eat twelve more pounds of other foods." She piled her breakfast on the plate and sat down next to her cousin. "When's Randie coming over?"

Tyler poured a glass of milk. "Not sure when sis is coming. Why? Do you not like having a room all to yourself?"

"No, just missed her. I'm not in any of her classes, except for gym on Monday. But there's two classes in there. She's always with that one girl." Alyssa cut her ham into little diamond shapes. That was another one of her oddities. She always had done that since she was little.

"Oh, I see."

The phone started to ring. Alyssa jumped up and answered the corded phone top of the refridgorator. "Hello?"

"Alyssa? Is that you?"

"Yes. Hi Randie! What’s up?"

"Well, I was going to ask if instead of going to the babysitters’ house on Wednesday, could I come over to Grandma’s and stay?"

"Hold on, I’ll ask." Alyssa asked Carol. "She said it was fine. Just bring some clothes; you took everything of yours home except for a pair of flip-flops."

"Thanks, Lyssa! You’re a doll!" said Randie. "Well, my friend’s here right now. TTFN! Ta ta for now!"

"Bye." Alyssa hung up and turned her attention back to her plate. Just one thing was missing.

"Tyler!" she exclaimed. "You took my pancakes!" She took his hat off his head and put it over her brown ponytail.

"Give it back!" Tyler reached for it, but Alyssa had moved to the safety of behind her grandmother. She stuck out her tongue.

Tyler jumped up for the table and Alyssa bolted for the door. In a flash Tyler was hot on her heels, chasing her around the house. They ran four laps around the house before Carol finally got sick of hearing them taunt and threaten each other.

"Get in here right now!" she yelled at them. They both tromped back inside, Alyssa with a truimphant look on her face. Tyler still had not taken the cap from her.

"Sit." Carol ordered. Both brown haired cousins sat instantly. "You two are twelve years old. Tyler, you’re almost thirteen! You both should know better than to act so childish." She looked at Alyssa. "Alyssa Thadea Ferguson, give the hat back."

Alyssa knew she had no choice but to give it back. She handed Tyler the hat back reluctantly. Tyler smirked.

"And you, Tyler Jacob Ferguson, you should not have chased after her. That was what she wanted! Both of you are grounded from the television. Wait until Roger hears about this," Carol rambled on.

The kitchen door opened and a man came in from the deck. "Wait until I hear what?" Roger asked. He took off his work boots and his hat.

"What your grandchildren did." Carol walked over and hugged her husband. "You just missed a race around the house."

Roger sat down. "Again?" He turned his gaze to Alyssa and Tyler.

"Yes, again." Carol explained what had occurred while she made Roger a cup of coffee. She held out the cup to Roger.

He took the cup and had a long drink of coffee. After a moment of silence, he spoke. "I’m disappointed in you kids. Neither of you acted your age."

Alyssa felt terrible. She hated to disappoint her grandpa. She knew Tyler felt the same way. He had his head lowered in shame. Alyssa did the same.

"It’s only nine o’clock in the morning and you’ve already disrupted the neighborhood. What else can you do today?" Realizing she should not have said what she did, Carol quickly added, "Nevermind, don’t answer that."

Silence followed until Tyler finished his breakfast and asked to be exused. Alyssa quickly followed suit. She saw Tyler was starting up the computer in the living room. That was computer three, or Tyler’s computer. It was covered in old stickers of cars.

"I’m sorry I took your hat," she apologized quickly. She made a dash for the stairs, but her cousin caught her arm.

"It’s ok. I should have known not to mess with you and your food." He started to laugh.

Alyssa joined in as she walked up the stairs. She went to her room she sometimes shared with Randie when she was here. It was only 5 foot by 9 foot, but she and her grandma had stuck two twins beds, a bedside table, a bookshelf, and a computer desk in the room. It made the room look much smaller than it already was, but Alyssa liked it anyway.

She turned on her computer and logged into her instant messenger. Her friend Emmalyne was on.

No longer feeling the need to stay on IM, Alyssa logged out and opened her email.

From: Emmalyne Leclair To: Alyssa Ferguson

Subject: omgomgomg

Message: You will not believe what Alana did! She locked her brother in Mrs. Young’s room!

Message: No way! She wouldn’t do that! Just because she is the school bully doesn’t mean you should believe gossip such as that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She sent the message and turned off her computer. She took a book off the shelf. She plopped down on her bed and started to read. Before she knew it, it was time for dinner. She had been so absorbed in [i:1d170]Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoniex[/i:1d170], she hadn’t noticed how the time had flown by.
Dinner was chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. She ate quickly, then ran upto her room. She took her telescope out and opened the window. She pointed the telescope toward the stars. She felt a strange connection to the stars. Everytime she saw them, she felt at peace, no matter where she was.
"Starlight, star bright. The first star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight," she whispered into the air. "I wish I might be able to see my parents again."
Alyssa’s parents had disappeared after she was born, or so she was always told. Her grandma and grandpa had different versions of the story. She had always thought that was kind of odd but she never thought anything different.
"Oh, what I would give to see my mom and dad, just once." She pulled the telescope back inside the window and put it away under her bed. She closed the window, changed into her pajamas, and jumped into bed.
