Futurama Gets a New Mobile Game: Worlds of Tomorrow

If you just can’t get enough of the zany, yet biting humor of Futurama, you need to free up a few megabytes of space on your Android, iOS or Amazon mobile device as Tiny Co and Fox Interactive have just announced the development of a new Futurama mobile game, dubbed “Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow.”

Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will feature original content from series creator and executive producer Matt Groening, executive producer David X. Cohen, and the show’s creative team. TinyCo has also brought in the original series’ animation house Rough Draft Studios in order to produce visuals that bring to life Futurama’s trademark aesthetics on the mobile screen.

While details are still sparse about the game itself (including the actual release date), Groening and Cohen provided a hint of the gameplay via their statements:

“I love this game because it feels just like Futurama,” said Groening. “Except now you get to jab the characters in the face.”

“Futurama is back, bigger and better than ever! Or possibly smaller and equally good. But either way, it’s back!” added Cohen. “We’ve got completely new stories from the original writers, cast, and animators. This is the real Futurama deal.”

Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will be released soon on the App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon Appstore. More information will be revealed soon and you can sign up for alerts at youwillplayfuturama.com.
