Free Flash Game: Aardman’s Land Lobber

This free flash game just reeks…OF QUALITY. Mainly because it’s not just a slapdash flash game coded by a bored programmer in his basement. No siree! Land Lobber came from Aardman, you know – the guys who made Wallace and Gromit?

Land Lobber is basically a rail shooter, in which you shoot targets using a cursor that can be controlled by your mouse. With a few simple twists; first is that you’re throwing eggs. At pirates, while you’re in a theater. It’s certainly an interesting premise. Then you’ve got upgrade mechanics thrown in.

The scores (or coins…arrrr) can be used to buy upgrades to your arm, and several weapons. Like a blunderbuss that shoots tomatoes en masse, or a pea shooter that literally shoots pea. The trick is to know which upgrades to get first, as the targets become difficult over time, either through an increasingly erratic movement, or through additional hitpoints.
