I’ve always loved browser games with graphics that look better than your run of the mill flash game, and IonDrift Epsilon is one of them. This nifty little racing game looks like it’s a console game, with visual effects that you would not expect to see on a flash game – like scaling, zooming, motion blur and advanced lighting.
If you’ve ever played Wipeout, you’ll find IonDrift familiar. You use the left and right arrow keys to steer, and you use the up and down arrow keys to accelerate and break, respectively. Each track offers two modes of play, a time trial and a race. The race only allows you to race against a single opponent, but this is actually a good thing because the tracks are so narrow that having multiple racers would be problematic. Besides, if you’re familiar with wipeout, you’ll rarely see the other racers anyway due to the speed of the cars.
Anyways, play IonDrift Epsilon below, you gotta wait a bit for it to load. The amount of detail in the game means that it’s gonna take a while (shouldn’t be a problem for people with proper broadband speeds):
