We’ve already seen a cinematic trailer and a special moves featurette for the upcoming DC Superheroes-themed fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us, but both seem lacking in actual content, merely providing glimpses of what we can expect from the game itself. Last weekend’s EVO 2012 tournament has seen fit to rectify the mistake with the release of a 15 minute trailer hosted by Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon:
The trailer shows exactly what you would expect if you’re already familiar with the recent Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe game. In fact, you will not be faulted if you mistake one for the other. However, one thing that still bothers people about Injustice: Gods Among Us that was not addressed by the 15 minute trailer, is the extremely thin roster. Let’s hope that the final version has more characters, even if the rest will be DLC, since anything less than 12 characters is piss-poor these days.
Injustice is due out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U in early 2013.
