With the Ice Age special hitting November 24th, you can either see the Christmas holiday hitting a few weeks early, or with the Ice Age in mind, a few thousand years late! In either case, be ready for one of the bigger celebrations you’ve ever seen – mammoth in size, even! On Thursday, November 24th, after you’ve filled up with Thanksgiving turkey, head over to Fox at 8pm for Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas! The special, which helps transition fans to next July’s Ice Age 4 Continental Drift, will feature every regular voice from the franchise. The 26-minute special finds the familiar crew in the middle of decorating for the holiday season, until… well, simply said, “Sid.”
Thanksgiving, and most importantly giving thanks, is certainly the right time for Ice Age A Mammoth Christmas. When Sid accidentally destroys Manny’s favorite decorations, the prehistoric sloth is convinced he’ll be on Santa’s naughty list for the year, leaving him without any presents for Christmas. To undo this terrible situation, Sid decides he must go to the North Pole and plead to Santa Claus, himself, for a second chance.
Further complicating matters, Sid doesn’t go alone – instead, he takes off with the Opossums Crash and Eddie, and Peaches, Manny and Ellie’s daughter. When the group reaches the North Pole, it goes down hill even more, as they accidentally destroy Santa’s Workshop.
If you thought Sid was on the naughty list before…
For those of you wanting an extra stocking stuffer for this holiday season, Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas will also be released on Blu-ray and DVD just a few days after it hits TVs. Be on the lookout for the item in stores, starting November 26th.
