For ten years, The Fairly OddParents has been entertaining folks across the Nickelodeon empire. Joining in the ranks of SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer, the adventures of Timmy Turner and his magical fairy godparents have reached their 10th anniversary, moving into a special league of all-time classic toons. Just to put this amazing accomplishment into some better perspective, 10 years ago: New episodes of Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Johnny Bravo were on Cartoon Network. Rugrats, Men in Black, Pinky and the Brain welcomed The Fairly OddParents as a Nicktoon. Pokemon Johto League Champions, Max Steel, and Batman Beyond were on something that used to be called the KidsWB! Seems a little more impressive now, huh 🙂

With the holiday season booming in full stride, Boomerang wants to capitalize on everyone’s excitement! To do so, Cartoon Network’s little brother plans to showcase holiday cartoon goodness every Saturday and Sunday during the month. Finally, local station TV5 has signed a deal with Turner Content Solutions to bring so many of the Cartoon Network classics to the Tagalong-speaking channel. The toons will march in, starting October 18th, airing 20 hours every week. We’re talking Batman: The Brave and the Bold, My Gym Partner’s Monkey, League of Super Evil, Ed, Edd & Eddy, and so many more.

With Valentine’s Day just a few days away, “love is in the air” couldn’t ring truer! Boomerang, Cartoon Network’s sister channel, is proving this by hosting Johnny Bravo St. Valentine’s Day Marathon on Valentine’s Day, just as they did last year. The marathon will run on Sunday, February 14th, from 12pm through 8:30pm. Finishing off the 8 and a half hours of Johnny, there will be a 30 minute special called “Its Valentine Day, Johnny Bravo at 8p, featuring Molly Shannon, Joe McIntyre, Maureen McCormick, and Donny Osmond as guest stars.
