Bridge Direct Becomes Master Toy Licensee for Looney Tunes

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has recently announced that The Bridge Direct, Inc is now the master toy licensee for Warner’s Looney Tunes property, which includes its latest TV series incarnation, The Looney Tunes Show.

Under the deal signed by The Bridge Direct, the global children’s consumer products company will be allowed to develop a comprehensive product line that will be based on Warner Bros iconic characters Bugs Bunny, Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Daffy Duck, Taz, Road Runner, and more. The product line will include plush toys, action figures, playsets, vehicles, and even roleplay items. The first batch of products is scheduled to debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York this month, followed by the retail launch in fall 2012.

“The Looney Tunes continue to transcend generations of fans and we couldn’t be happier to partner with The Bridge Direct as the master toy licensee of this cornerstone property,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president of Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “With these beloved characters, and the fresh new The Looney Tunes Show animated series, we are excited to offer fans of all ages so many new and exciting toys and products to bring their imagination to life.”
