Years ago, movies were big events. OK, they’re still big events now, but back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s, they were huge events. Sometimes, it would be a double feature, showing two movies instead of one, and more often than not, news reels and even cartoons would run before and after the showings. That’s, mostly, how the world was introduced to Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes pals. Taking a cue from this blast from the past, Warner Bros. Animation plans on reviving the in-theater toons with brand new, 3D animated shorts before relating Warner Bros. movies. The movies include July 30th’s Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, September 24th’s Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, and December 17th’s Yogi Bear. First up to bat; the classic chase between Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote – never seems to work out too well for the latter. Beep beep!

Wow thats awsome! im glad that there giving cartoons like this the respect they do deserve. with out these old school cartoons we wouldnt know anything about laughter, and what cartoons are really supposed to be about.
I think it’s great WB is finally giving looney tunes more attention, and I hope they continue with these shorts and make them with the other characters also. :0
