X-Men: First Class Scribes Join Looney Tunes-Inspired Acme Feature
According to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has just tapped X-Men: First Class writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz in order to pen a currently untitled Acme movie in development. The director’s seat is currently vacant, as the studio is still negotiating with Crazy Stupid Love’s directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
The Acme feature is said to be a CG/live action hybrid and is rooted in Warner Bros’ classic Looney Tunes cartoons. The project is being produced by the duo behind The Lego Movie, Dan Lin and Roy Lee. No plot details have been released yet, but the project is said to have originated from a pitch that Kevin and Dan Hageman sold in 2010.
