M.A.S.K. the Animated series comes to DVD

If you wanted a cool toon with M.A.S.K., you got one. If you wanted a power ballad to open it up, you got one. The Mobile Armored Strike Kommand was an elite task force that ran through 1980s animated television with the likes of G.I. Joe and the Transformers. Better known as M.A.S.K., the group featured a number of specialized warriors led by Matt Trakker, who each possessed a vehicle that could transform into battle mode. This was especially helpful when they went up against their nemesis V.E.N.O.M., also known as the Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem. Best of all, the soldiers each donned specially charged masks that offered super powers to the wearer. Now, Shout! Factory and FremantleMedia Enterprises are bringing the classic M.A.S.K. series home to DVD and downloadable formats.

“Muh-muh-muh-mask (MASK!)”

“FME is dedicated to bringing content from our extensive catalogue, including a classic series like M.A.S.K., to the home entertainment marketplace. We are thrilled for Shout! Factory to bring this long lost, retro series from the 80’s to its fans in North America.” -Jeff Siegel, FME’s Vice President

“This deal with FremantleMedia Enterprises continues to build on our proven success with some of the premiere animation and family-friendly brands in the marketplace. We are delighted with this opportunity. M.A.S.K. has been one of the fan favorite classic animated series in TV history, with a highly successful presence in many countries across the world.” -Shout!
