MAD This Week: Al Pacino and the Chipmunks, and That’s What Superfriends Are For
This week on MAD, the comedy show mines another recent blockbuster for laughs, as they present “Al Pacino and the Chipmunks”, in which Alvin and the rest of the helium-voiced furry supertroupe find themselves stranded on an island, and manage to recruit a new member for their band: Al Pacino himself. Is he going to give them an offer they can’t refuse?
In another of MAD’s skits, The DC Superheroes totally abandon any ideas of violent confrontation as “That’s What Superfriends are for” show the group of superpowered individuals singing a song extolling the virtues of superfriendship.
Of course, it wouldn’t be MAD at all if there’s no Spy VS Spy segments, where the eternal battle between the Black and White spies play out in ridiculously over the top, yet humorous, fashion. There’s also Alfred E. Neuman, and a bunch of other parodies, spoof and jokes to be had. Watch the episode on its regular timeslot at 8:30 ET/PT.
