DreamWorks Uses Bananas to Promote Madagascar 3

DreamWorks Uses Bananas to Promote Madagascar 3

If you’re really into bananas, then chances are you have already noticed one of Dreamworks Animation’s recent promotional campaigns for Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. In case you haven’t, the studio has partnered with Dole Fresh Fruit co. in order to give away 100 million specially branded bananas with Madagascar stickers to stores all over the country.

Dubbed as the “Go Bananas” promotional campaign, it is just another means for DreamWorks to promote the film, which is due out in theaters on June 8. So far, the other promo campaign they’ve done includes a Madagascar App for iPads, and there may be more along the way, considering the hefty list of promo partners that has been announced:

Madagascar 3 promo partners/items include Airheads candy, Blue Bunny ice cream, Children’s Claritin, Citi’s Citi Private Pass program, General Mills fruit snacks, House Foods America tofu, Kraft Jell-O, L’Oreal Kids shampoos & conditioners, Lowe’s Build and Grow clinics, McDonald’s Happy Meals, Snyder-Lance Sandwich Crackers, Sun-Maid Mini-Snacks, Zynga’s “Draw Something: Madagascar.”
