Fox’s Fantastic Four Remake Pushed Back

Fox’s first two attempts at adapting the Fantastic Four franchise to the big screen weren’t exactly well-received by fans, so it’s not surprising that their planned remake is being anticipated by people just to see how they plan to address the issues that plagued the originals. However, it seems like people might want to adjust their schedule as Fox has pushed back the release date to August 15, taking over the slot that was initially reserved for Assassin’s Creed.

It’s not that big of a wait, anyway. The original release date was only a couple of months earlier at June 16, 2015. There’s no announcement or explanation as to why the release date was moved, although there’s speculation that it’s because Fox is trying to emulate the success of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which opened in August.

Sadly for people who are excited about the film adaptation of Assassin’s Creed, the film has been pulled completely out of Fox’s lineup, as the release date has been changed to TBD. There’s no word on what prompted the temporary shelving of the project.
