Marvel Future Avengers English dub in production
Toon Barn has learned that Studiopolis in Studio City, California is hard at work on producing an English dubbed version of Marvel Future Avengers. The latest Asian attempt at America’s comic lore began broadcast in Japan on the Dlife channel on July 22nd. The show’s produced by Madhouse, the animation studio who previously created the Marvel Anime timeline of TV shows and movies.Yuzo Sato, who acted as the director on Marvel Anime Ironman, helms the new show with characters designs from fellow Ironman alum Takahiro Umehara and a script penned by Disk Wars Avengers‘ Ryuu King.
Marvel Future Avengers centres around Makoto, a young boy who is granted super powers through a gene manipulation experiment. Alongside a group of other gifted youths, Makoto joins the legendary Avengers super hero team as part of their apprentice program, the Future Avengers. Together the group learns to fight the forces of evil with the help of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Wasp. Teruaki Mizuno has been creating a manga version that’s been serialized in Shogakukan’s Bessatsu Coro Coro Comics Special magazine since the April 2017 issue.
Unfortunately, an English dub doesn’t confirm a western release. Disney had the talented crew at Studiopolis produce an English language version of Marvel Disk Wars Avengers solely for it to air exclusively on their South East Asian channels. Disney seems to believe there’s little western interest in Asian takes on their material. If the company can’t justify a television run on Disney Channel or Disney XD, I’m sure many would be pleased to see these shows on their upcoming streaming service.
