The start of 2014 promises a whole lot of hacking and slashing action as Shout! Factory and Marvel Knights Animation have just announced that they will be releasing Wolverine vs. Sabretooth on DVD this coming January 14, 2014. The animated adaptation of this once classic tale is the result of a collaboration between writer and Executive Producer Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Artist Simone Bianchi (Astonishing X-Men).

Wolverine vs. Sabretooth will capture the pulse pounding confrontation between two of Marvel’s most ferocious mutants, while bringing to animated life the biggest rivalry in Marvel’s history. The DVD will come in a unique packaging style that mimics a comic book, and will feature a whole slew of bonus content that includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes feature, among others.

These sworn foes have been locked in an endless grudge match that goes back longer than either can remember – or even imagine. The key to victory is eons old, and it’s certain to rock their world.
