Preview for Second Part of Guardians of the Galaxy on Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers

We have previously blogged about Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers’ introduction of the Guardians of the Galaxy into the series, which comes via a two-episode story arc that is scheduled for release on September 10th and 17th, which coincides with the film’s September 13th Japanese theatrical debut. Now, a new promo video has just been released for the second half.

For the uninitiated, Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers is an anime series produced by Toei Animation and Walt Disney Japan, with merchandising tie-ins produced by Bandai. The series focuses on the Digital Identity Securement Kit (DISK), which Dr. Nozomu Akatsuki and Tony Stark invented in order to detain supervillains. However, during a presentation of the project, Loki appears and uses the DISKs to break out all of the captured supervillains while trapping Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Wasp, and Hulk inside the DISKs instead. It is now up to Nozomu’s sons Akira and Hikaru, along with three other children, Edward, Chris, and Jessica, to use the DISKs in order to summon the Avengers for short periods of time and use their power to search for other DISKs before they fall into the wrong hands.
