Ultimate Naruto Goes Open Beta
If you’ve been hankering for an MMO based on Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto franchise but don’t want Pockie Ninja’s cute SD graphics and reliance on interbrand crossovers, you’ll be glad to know that a brand new web-based MMORPG called Ultimate Naruto has just entered open beta phase.
As the first paragraph suggests, gameplay is basically turn-based 2.5D, much like the aforementioned Pockie Ninja or Marvel Avengers Alliance. One thing that Ultimate Naruto has going for it is that the visuals and presentation are well done, and look properly like they should (though there have been some creative liberties taken with the costumes and clothings of some characters).
In Ultimate Naruto, you will only be able to play as the official characters in some cases. Your real avatar will be a custom-created character – you get to decide the gender and the school in which it will belong to. The choice of schools will determine your character’s specialty, be it taijutsu, ninjutsu, or genjutsu.
