2K Play brings Nickelodeon Fit to Nintendo Wii

Since it’s launch 2 years ago, Wii Fit has been a phenomenal success for the Nintendo Wii home console. Millions of Wii Fit Boards have been placed in living rooms across the world, with gamers doing their best to get, or stay, in shape. Hoping to catch part of this exergaming wave, Nickelodeon has teamed with 2K Play to announce Nickelodeon Fit. The Wii exclusive title features the Wii Balance Board with dynamic events involving characters from Nick cartoons, like Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go!, Ni-Hao Kai-lan, and the Backyardigans. Exercises will involve fun filled games, like pogo-sticking with Dora. Look for the game in stores this November!

I Think this is a great idea. My 5 year old daughter (and even 7 year old son to some degree)love to play wii fit but it’s really not meant for young children. Many of the moves are to complicated for them, and they will never get into the top ten when adults have played. Hopefully the controls are simplified and some learning can be incorporated (counting hoola hoop swings, jumping on only certain color blocks etc…). I’m looking forward to this one.
