Nick Jr. to Air Wanda and the Alien
International kids entertainment distributor CAKE has recently inked a deal with Nickelodeon, which will give the broadcaster rights to air the series Wanda and the Alien on more than 70 Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels all over the world (excluding the US). The series will start airing on Nickelodeon’s international channels in late 2014.
Wanda and the Alien is an enchanting preschool series that focuses on the daily adventures of the titular female rabbit and her unconditional friendship with the eponymous alien. Even though the two have very little in common, they still manage to nurture a friendship that overcomes their differences and proves that friends can come in all shapes and sizes.
Layla Lewis, Vice President, Content Acquisitions, Nickelodeon, Viacom International Media Networks, said, “We are excited to bring Wanda and the Alien to our Nick Jr. audiences internationally. This charming series will make a great addition to our Nick Jr. line-up as it combines strong characters with engaging storylines. The show’s themes of friendship and problem solving are universally relevant and will captivate preschoolers across the globe.”
