Nickelodeon Kart Racers revs up on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One

GameMill Entertainment are bringing some of your favourite Nicktoons to the racing track in Nickelodeon Kart Racers. A brand-new game due out this fall on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will offer players the ability to race as characters from 12 of the most iconic Nickelodeon series. That includes SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, and more.

Developed by Bamtang, the new game will feature 24 slime-filled tracks based on Nickelodeon series. The karts racers ride in will be customizable with multiple power-ups and special attacks. The non-stop action gets the whole family involved through co-op and local multiplayer, with support for up to 4 player split-screen. In team-based co-op multiplayer, players can perform devastating fused attacks, or you can just duke it out in local free-for-all. If your racer gets too slimed up, your karts will turn into jet-ski racers.

A new multi-player console racing game, Nickelodeon Kart Racers! Select a racer from one of your favorite Nickelodeon series, including SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy from SpongeBob SquarePants, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Arnold and Helga from Hey Arnold!, and Angelica, Tommy, and Reptar from Rugrats. Race your friends in up to four-player local multiplayer or check out the Battle Arena for a variety of challenges.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Nickelodeon to bring all of these amazing characters into one fun, competitive video game for fans of all ages to enjoy,” shares Mark Meadows, Partner of GameMill Entertainment. “Nickelodeon has created characters and stories that are loved around the world and we specialize in transforming treasured characters and stories into playable entertainment for the die-hard fans and casual gamers alike.”

Nickelodeon Kart Racers will be released on October 23rd in Australia, Europe and North America. The game will cost $39.99 (US)/£29.99 / €39.99. In Europe, the title will be distributed by Maximum Games.

Lots more Nickelodeon video game fun is also on the way. THQ Nordic announced earlier this year that it was planning on re-releasing a number of classic Nicktoons-based titles, including those based on properties like Avatar: The Last Airbender, Invader Zim, Rugrats and SpongeBob. Additionally, Outright Games are working on the first PAW Patrol console game, due out this October.

Nickeolodeon Kart Racers marks the fourth Nicktoons crossover racing title. Are you excited to get behind the wheel as Tommy? Which properties would you like to see in the game? Leave a comment down below!
