Buoyed by its success in the US, Nickelodeon is expanding the reach of their Nick Jr. Play app to the rest of the world. The app has already launched in the UK and Denmark, with rollouts to other regions to follow in the coming months. The app has been downloaded more than 16 million times in the US, and has brought so many kids a fun, educational experience featuring their favorite Nick Jr. shows, games, and music in a centralized mobile app. The Nick Jr. Play app is available on iOS and Android devices, with support for multiple languages.
The Nick Jr. Play app is targeted more towards preschoolers, and provides access to full episodes of their favorite Nick shows. There are also educational games and fresh new video clips, as well as seasonal surprise content. The app uses an intuitive tap and swipe interface that is perfect for kids.
“Nick Jr. Play combines some of preschoolers’ most beloved programming with interactive play that families can do together from the comfort of home,” said Kate Sils, VP multiplatform and brand engagement, Nickelodeon International. “We’re excited to expand this offering internationally, and invite many more children and parents from across the world to engage and learn with all of their Nick Jr. friends while on the go.”
