Nickelodeon, Mattel, Climax Studios Team Up for New TMNT VR App

Nickelodeon has recently teamed up with Mattel and Climax Studios in order to launch a new virtual reality app based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles property. Dubbed “View-Master TMNT VR”, the new app is targeted towards kids aged 7+ and is compatible with the Google Cardboard and View-Master VR Viewers. View-Master TMNT VR can be downloaded now through the US App Store and Google Play.

View-Master TMNT VR will allow fans to get in on the action as the Turtles try to discover who’s behind a series of odd occurences in New York City, and subsequently put a stop to it. The free demo experience will allow players to interact with and explore the swer lair, while chilling with Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo.

The full version of the app, on the other hand, can be purchased from within the app itself and will open up even more of the Turtle’s world, from training with Splinter in the dojo in order to learn the Turtles’ signature moves to embarking on missions in order to uncover Shredder’s latest plot. The app is full of exciting TMNT-themed minigames and unlockable items. There are 3 levels of difficulty and a ton of in game stuff to collect, boosting the replayability of the app.

Fans who really want the full TMNT experience can purchase a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles View-Master VR Viewer Pack for $49.99, which comes with a branded Viewer, 4 interchangeable shields carrying a specific Turtle’s mask color, a TMNT reel, and a QR code to unlock the full VR app. There’s also the more affordable Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles View-Master Experience Pack that retails for $12.99, which comes with the reel and QR code.
