Nickelodeon to Re-imagine Nick.com for Windows 8

Now that Windows 8 is out in the wilds and proving itself to be a justifiable upgrade over Windows 7 (compared to past OSes like Vista and ME, both of which were considered downgrades), Nickelodeon is planning to take advantage of Windows 8’s new features by re-imagining their Nick.com app and custom-tailoring it to Windows 8’s gesture-based interface.

The new Windows 8-enhanced Nick.com will provide a hub for all things Nickelodeon and will be made available for free on the Windows Store. The app will give kids access to as many as 1500+ games, photos, and videos featuring their favorite Nick series such as Victorious, iCarly, Big Time Rush, The Legend of Korra, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob Squarepants, and many more. Nick.com is currently the top kids entertainment website, per comScore Media Metrix’s comScore US data – average monthly unique visitors for July 2012 September 2012.
