Nickelodeon to Launch New 90s-Focused Block, The Splat
If the recent Kenan and Kel reunion on Jimmy Fallon’s show proves anything, it’s the fact that there’s still a huge audience for iconic 90s content. Nickelodeon finally realized it as they have just announced a new programming block on TeenNick, one that is devoted solely to shows that were popular back in the 90s.
Dubbed “The Splat” (no doubt named after Nick’s logo at the time), the new programming block will start airing on Monday, October 5 and will be supported by a multiplatform campaign consisting of a launch across 7 different social media platforms and a dedicated website.
The Splat’s regular schedule will be Mondays at 10pm to 6am and will consist of a rotating lineup that includes the likes of All That, Angry Beavers, Are You Afraid of the Dark,CatDog, Clarissa Explains It All, Hey Arnold!, Hey Dude, Kenan & Kel, Ren & Stimpy, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Rocko’s Modern Life, Rugrats, Salute Your Shorts and The Wild Thornberrys, with more classic 90s content to be added at a later date.
