Nickelodeon's Rango holds strong at the box office

Three weeks in, and Rango is still trucking along at the box office. Nickelodeon’s quirky CG adventure has pulled in over $92 million in its nearly month-long run, with an additional $15 million just this weekend. In fact, the numbers were impressive enough that the film still pulled in at second place, just narrowly losing out to the newcomer Limitless. Working with Paramount on this project, Nickelodeon could potentially shift gears with Rango, easing the story into a franchise: sequels, spin-offs… maybe an animated series to appear on Nick? All possibilities are open for now. Which would you like to see happen?

Limitless – $19,000,000
Rango – $15,315,000
Battle: Los Angeles – $14,600,000
The Lincoln Lawyer – $13,400,000
Paul – $13,155,000
Red Riding Hood – $7,255,000
The Adjustment Bureau – $5,932,000
Mars Needs Moms – $5,317,000
Beastly – $3,260,000
Hall Pass – $2,600,000
Gnomeo and Juliet – $2,374,000
Just Go With It – $2,300,000
