Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants hits 200 episodes

Who lives in a pineapple, under the first 199 episodes? Nickelodeon wants to know, and clearly the answer is the absorbent and yellow and porous SpongeBob SquarePants. Continuing the love story started over a decade ago, Viacom recently ordered a ninth season of the amazingly popular cartoon, complete with 26 brand new episodes, which will bring SpongeBob’s total count past the 200 episode milestone. New episodes will begin rolling out later this year, and all through 2012. After that? Who knows! We could be under the sea for quite some time ūüôā
