This coming August 21, Monday, at 10 AM (ET/PT), preschoolers will get a fun new show to watch on Nickelodeon as the brand new animated series titled Sunny Day premieres. Sunny Day consists of 40 episodes and will focus on the 10 year old hairstylist and entrepreneur named “Sunny,” who relies on creative problem-solving skills in order to help solve any problem that arises in the seaside town of Friendly Falls.
Aiming to celebrate and inspire individuality and self-expression among kids, Sunny Day promotes a socio-emotional curriculum that showcases leadership, innovative thinking, and teamwork. The premiere episode will be titled “Stick with Me,” in which Rox and Blair accidentally get stuck together due to a misused sticky hairspray, so it’s up to Sunny to help them work together and get unstuck.
The first season of Sunny Day will feature celebrity guest stars including: Ashley Parker Angel (O-Town), Lance Bass (NSYNC), Kether Donohue (Grease Live, Pitch Perfect movies), Sutton Foster (Younger, Anything Goes), Renee Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lack), Adam Jacobs (Aladdin), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos, Entourage) and Shanice Williams (The Wiz Live!).
