Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Clip: New Friend, Old Enemy

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Clip: New Friend, Old Enemy

This week’s episode of Nickelodeon’s massively successful reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles further proves that you can update the franchise and make it relevant to current mainstream culture without turning the Turtles into aliens.

Titled “New Friend, Old Enemy,” the episode follows April as she introduces Mikey to a social networking site. In order to prove that the Turtles can be friends with humans, Michelangelo uses the site to befriend a famous martial artist named Chris Bradford, who is actually working as Shredder’s top undercover lieutenant. With the help of a street brawler named Xever, Bradford manages to turtlenap Mikey and uses him as a means to find the Turtles’ lair.

“New Friend, Old Enemy,” premieres Saturday, October 13, at 11AM (ET/PT)

The series stars Jason Biggs (American Pie) as “Leonardo,” Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as “Raphael,” Rob Paulsen (Planet Sheen) as “Donatello” and Greg Cipes (Teen Titans) as “Michelangelo.” Additional cast members rounding out this iconic hit franchise include Mae Whitman (Parenthood) as “April O’Neil,” Hoon Lee (Royal Pains) as “Master Splinter” and Kevin Michael Richardson (Penguins of Madagascar) as “Shredder.”
