2-Part Hey Arnold TV Movie Greenlighted By Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon has recently announced two major projects – a live-action TV special based on the Legends of the Hidden Temple TV series and a two-part animated TV movie for Hey Arnold!, which is written and executive produced by Craig Bartlett.

The project, which was first announced last year will pick up where the show left, solving the unanswered plotlines and questions, including Arnold eventually finding the answer regarding the location of his missing parents. The 2-hour TV movies are produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios and are set for release in 2017.

The Legends of the Hidden Temple is directed by Joe Menendez and written by Alex Reid, Zack Hyatt and Johnny Umansky. Components of the original game show including The Steps of Knowledge, Olmec the talking head, the green monkey, silver snakes, red jaguar and the launching pad and the temple entrance will all be incorporated in the story of 3 siblings on a life or death mission.
