9 Story Entertainment’s Fugget About It Renewed

9 Story Entertainment’s mobster-centric toon Fugget About It has just been renewed by Teletoon Canada, with a total of 13 new episodes scheduled for delivery by fall next year. The series was originally developed for Teletoon’s 2007 Night Pilot Project, but season one will only premiere later this year.

“This is 9 Story’s first foray into primetime animation and we’re thrilled to have a second season of Fugget About It greenlit by TELETOON prior to the series launch,” said Vince Commisso, president and CEO 9 Story Entertainment.”

Fugget About It follows the story of Jimmy Falcone, who was formerly one of the most feared capos in the Gambini crime family, who turned on his associates and cooperated with the Feds after he was ordered to whack his own beloved Uncle Cheech. As a result, Jimmy and his entire family are relocated into witness protection in cold, snowy Regina, where it became apparent that a hotheaded former mobster will have to take on the challenge of living as a regular schnook among naïve and friendly Canadians.

Fugget About It was created by Nicholas Tabarrok and Willem Wennekers, and developed by Jeff Abugov. Executive producers are Nicholas Tabarrok, Willem Wennekers, Jeff Abugov and for 9 Story, Vince Commisso and Steven Jarosz. 9 Story also handles international distribution. Series guest stars include Alan Thicke, Andrea Martin and Jason Jones.
