Aggretsuko Gets a Christmas Episode on Netflix This Month
The Netflix original anime Aggretsuko will have a roaring heavy metal holiday this coming December 20, as the streaming service debuts a new 22 minute holiday special titled Aggretsuko: We Wish You a Metal Christmas. The special will have protagonist Retsuko developing an obsession with posting pics on social media, which in turn puts her Christmas at risk. Meanwhile, Haida still hopes to spend a special holiday with Retsuko.
Of course, this exciting anime series known for its hard hitting songs, and this special is no different: the episode will feature a punk rock cover of Jingle Bells, to be performed by Tim Timebomb and the Interrupters — a music project of Tim Armstrong, frontman of Rancid.
Aggretsuko is produced by Fanworks, written and directed by Rarecho, with character designs by Yeti.
Season 2 of the series is slated to debut in 2019, via Netflix’s streaming service.
