Little Airplane and Studio 100 Team Up for Bumba

Little Airplane Productions and Belgium’s Studio 100 has joined forces in order to develop and produce a new animated preschool series based on the successful puppet show Bumba.

Bumba is recognized as the No 1 preschool brand in the Benelux region and has been popular since 2005. Little Airplane aims to redesign the brand for the international market, by adding an educational curriculum that can help preschoolers nurture their problem solving skills. The new Bumba series will be produced by Josh Selig in his New York based studio, Little Airplane Productions.

The new Bumba show, which is now a digital 2d animated series instead of a puppet-based one, will focus on a loveable clown and his extraordinary circus. Each episode will feature a different theme, such as vehicles, music, or exercise, and will try to teach and encourage kids based on said theme.

“It’s a great privilege to be working with Josh Selig and Little Airplane Productions on what has proven to be one of our most successful pre-school brands,” says Hans Bourlon, CEO of Studio 100. “With their unrivaled expertise and commitment to kids’ entertainment, I am confident that Bumba’s career change into animation will be remarkable.”
