New Anime Opening for Disgaea Dimension 2

Disgaea

The trio of Laharl, Etna, and Flonne will be returning to Japan on March 20th, followed by a North American and European return via the cult-hit strategy RPG sequel Disgaea Dimension 2. Playstation Japan’s Youtube channel has seen it fit to prepare for next week’s prinny invasion with a video of the anime opening:

In case you’re unfamiliar with the Disgaea franchise and why it’s a favorite among core fans of the genre, it’s basically a fantasy SRPG that takes a number of tropes and elements inherent in the genre, and turns them upside down, turning the whole thing into a satirical take on the genre and its fans, while also providing a decent game underneath. Just a word of warning that if you’re turned off by some of the steep learning curves in RPGs, you may want to steer clear of the game or at least use a cheat device.

For instance, while most console RPGs only have level 99 as Max level (Shining Force EXA’s 200 is already an oddity), Disgaea has 9999 as the max level limit, and even the low level special attacks would put Dragonball Z to shame.
