April and the Extraordinary World English Cast Announced

GKIDS (North American animation importer) has announced the English language voice cast for the latest French-produced feature film April and the Extraordinary World from Chrstian Desmares and Franck Ekinci. Voice cast includes Angela Galuppo (April), Paul Giamatti, Susan Sarandon, Tony Hale and J.K. Simmons with Mark Camacho, Tony Robinow, Tod Fennell and Macha Grenon.

GKIDS will premiere both the French and English versions stateside on March 25 in New York (IFC Center) and on April 1 in Los Angeles (Nuart Theater), followed by a nationwide expansion on April 8.

April and the Extraordinary World won Best Feature Film at the celebrated 2015 Annecy International Animation Festival. It is a spellbinding sci-fi adventure that takes place in an alternate steampunk world. The film is set in Paris in 1941 and follows a family of scientists on the verge of uncovering a powerful longevity serum. Suddenly, a mysterious force abducts them, which will leave April, their young daughter, behind. After 10 years, April lives with Darwin, her cat and carries on the research of her family in secret. However, she soon finds herself on the run from government agents and in a middle of a far-reaching and shadowy conspiracy, cyborg rat spies and bicycle-powered dirigibles.
