Atomic Puppet Makes Its Way To French TVs This Month
Technicolor has recently announced that their new children’s animated series Atomic Puppet, which is co-developed and produced with Canada’s Mercury Filmworks and France’s Gaumont Animation, has just been pre-sold to terrestrial channel France Televisions.
Atomic Puppet focuses on Model City’s premiere superhero, who has been transformed into a powerless puppet by his former sidekick. The hero’s powers are not completely gone, though – they’ve just been transferred to his biggest fan: the 12 year old Joey Felt. With the help of Joey, they form an awkward yet strangely effective partnership as they strive to become Model City’s greatest superhero team.
Technicolor, Mercury Filmworks and Gaumont Animation are currently in production on 52 x 11 minute episodes of Atomic Puppet to air on France Télévisions’ France 4 channel in 2016. France Télévisions rounds out an elite list of previously announced programming partners, where the show will premiere in Canada on TELETOON and premiere in France on Disney XD, as well as a multitude of other Disney XD territories.
