AT&T and Turner Collaborate on Captain Planet Game for Earth Day 2019
In celebration of Earth Day 2019, AT&T and Turner joined forces to produce a new mobile game based on the Captain Planet franchise. Titled Captain Planet: Gaia Guardians, the app is now available and FREE to download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Captain Planet: Gaia Guardians will see players joining the Planeteers Kwame, Wheeler, Linka, Gi, and Ma-Ti as they team up to defeat all sorts of eco-villains polluting the world. Of course, this being a Captain Planet game, the powerful eco-hero will also lend a helping hand.
The game is for a good cause, becausefor every tree restored in-game between Earth Day (April 22) and Arbor Day (April 26), the two companies will donate $1, up to a maximum of $100,000 to the Captain Planet Foundation.
“This Earth Day, AT&T is making it easy and fun for everyone to make a difference,” said Charlene Lake, senior vice president of corporate social responsibility and chief sustainability officer at AT&T. “Through the ‘Hope Island Recovery Challenge,’ we’re turning in-game actions into real-world contributions to the Captain Planet Foundation to create more outdoor learning spaces at schools.”
