We’re not exactly sure how successful Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s videogame adaptation of Attack on Titan was, as it seems to have been overshadowed by other anime-based games (especially since last year saw a respectable amount of anime-based games arrive on the PC platform, where they are usually a rarity.) But if we’re basing it on the fact that an Attack on Titan game sequel is in the works, then we can safely assume that it was commercially successful. This, too, isn’t surprising given how popular the anime is.
As mentioned above, things quieted down a little bit on Attack on Titan 2, or people’s eyes were affixed on other announced anime games. So Koei Tecmo and Omega Force did the proper thing and unveiled a new English video, just to remind people of the game and what people can expect upon launch. You can watch the video below:
The video shows off some of the promised content, including a Story Mode Co-Op, a Scout Missions Co-Op, and an Annihilation Mode. It seems like the game will have a bigger focus on replayability based on the list of available game modes.
Attack on Titan 2 hits PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in the west on March 20.
