Bandai Namco Releases New Gundam App for Fans


It’s Wednesday and Bandai Namco still hasn’t ported any Gundam VS games to Steam, but Gundam fans should still feel good because Bamco is launching a new subscription-based smartphone app called “Gundam Fanclub.” The app will serve as an official source of Gundam-related videos, news, and other content. The app will cost 600 yen (roughly $5 USD) per month and will be made available on October 1, 2015 for both Android and iOS-based devices. If you don’t like taking risks, the app also has a 7-day trial period.

The content waiting for subscribers will include streams of the entire Mobile Suit Gundam animation catalog, including some of the new shows like Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, beginning October 04, 2015. The app will also provide social media functions and exclusive membership benefits and discounts to Gundam-related merchandise. The app is currently exclusive to Japan but we never know, right?
