BBC Worldwide has recently inked a new multi-year licensing deal with Amazon Prime Video, covering a wide range of TV properties from CBeebies and CBBC for the UK and Ireland. This licensing deal is BBC Worldwide’s first children’s package to be made available to Amazon Prime’s SVOD service in the aforementioned regions.
“The deal reflects the growing investment that leading streaming services like Amazon Prime Video are making to offer world-class, high quality children’s programming to their subscribers,” said Jonathan Newman, Sales & Business Development Director at BBC Worldwide, who agreed the deal.
The multitudes of TV properties that will be making its way to Amazon Prime Video will consist of over 520 episodes from popular animated titles such as Hey Duggee, Go Jetters, Sarah & Duck, Charlie & Lola and the new Clangers, as well as live-action fare including Gigglebiz (CBeebies), The Story of Tracy Beaker and Horrible Histories (CBBC).
Hey Duggee and Sarah & Duck season 1, Tracey Beaker season 1, and Horrible Histories seasons 2-4 are available now.
