Bear Story, Ex Machina, Inside Out Oscar Wins

Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out has won the Oscar’s Best Animated Feature while Bear Story got the first Oscar for Chile as it earned the Best Animated Short Film.

According to Gabriel Osorio, they want to represent their own voice in animation, which is a Chilean voice, a Latin American voice. Backstage, director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera shared the recognition generously with Ronny del Carmen, who was one of the brains behind the hit animated movie. Jonas Rivera also commented about the diversity in the animated feature category because of the wide variety of films that came from different parts of the world all competing in the said category.

Oscar Best Visual Effects goes to Ex Machina, disappointing a field which includes the favorites Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Mad Max: Fury Road. The award goes to Paul Harris, Andrew Whitehurst, Sara Bennet and Mark Ardington.

Mad Max: Fury Road achieved a record win of Oscars including Costume Design, Production Design, Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, Sound Mixing and Sound Editing.
