After securing financing, Copenhagen Bombay is now ready to begin production on a new animated feature film from Esben Toft Jacobson titled Beyond Beyond.
Beyond Beyond tells the story of a rabbit named Johan, who goes on a quest to reunite his mother with her family, only to discover that she is currently residing in a kingdom that is in danger of sinking to the bottom of the sea. In order to save the kingdom and his mother, Johan must seek out and help the Feather King.
Beyond Beyond was originally presented at Cartoon Movie in Lyon last March, marking it as the first ever stereoscopic feature film made in Sweden.
Jacobsen is famous for his debut animated feature The Great Bear, which was in the Official Competition Generation Kplus at the Berlinale in 2011 along with 45 other festivals. So far it has been screened in more than 25 countries, including Belgium, France, and the Netherlands.
