Beyblade Burst is Coming to German-speaking Countries

The Beyblade franchise is going to launch its newest iteration, Beyblade Burst, with the US and Canada expected to get their own respective releases a little later in the year. As part of the global rollout, Sunrights, Inc has appointed m4e AG as the agent for broadcast, home entertainment, and merch rights for German-speaking territories.

M4e has started seeking a German broadcasting partner so they can start development of a broad regional licensing campaign, especially for the toy line as it has been bolstered with a new “burst” component for the tops. The toy line will be introduced to North America later this year by toy partner Hasbro, followed by major international markets in 2017.

The TV series has already debuted on TV Tokyo in Japan last April, and has proven to be a ratings success. The storyline features all new characters and is a major departure to previous iterations due to the emphasis on real sports, alongside the long-running themes of competition and friendship.
