Brazil’s Animage Festival Looking for Submissions

Pernambuco’s 4th Animage International Animation Festival, which is scheduled for Sept. 26-30 in Brazil, is already open for registrations and seeking submissions of animated films that are shorter than 30 minutes and completed since January 2011.

The deadline for submissions is July 31, with entry details and forms available at their official site.The screening will be competitive, and will award cash prizes and trophies to the best animated short films. The categories will be separated into Best Short Film, Best Short Film for Children, Best Brazilian Short Film, and Best Short (with the winners to be picked by the audience). Awards also will be presented for Best Director, Best Script, Best Art Direction, Best Technics and Best Sound.

The festival also features noncompetitive screenings, special screenings, lectures, debates and workshops about animation techniques.
