Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and BRB will both be at the MIPJunior in order to present the pilot for an animated series based on the hit videogame Invizimals. Originally from the Playstation Portable, the Invizimals show will use enhanced reality techniques that will allow kids to unlock additional content on their PS Vita consoles via the show.
The project is currently being handled by Screen 21, and will consist of 26 half hour episodes targeted towards kids aged 6 to 11. They are targeting the end of 2013 as the premiere date.
BRB Internacional, which manages the Invizimals brand in Spain and Portugal, is planning to market the rights to the series Invizimals on a global level. MIPJunior is set for Oct. 6-7 in Cannes, France.
Sony, on the other hand, is riding on the momentum of the Invizimals game franchise, which consists of Invizimals, Invizimals: Shadow Zone and Invizimals: The Lost Tribes, which has already seen sales of more than a million units in Europe alone.
