Bron Studios Launches Mighty Mighty Monsters
Vancouver-based Bron Studios has recently launched Bron animation, which is tasked to develop and produce original kid’s animated intellectual properties for TV and film, with an aim to specialize on absurd family comedies. The animation studio’s first project is titled Mighty Mighty Mnsters, which is based on the book series created by Sean Patrick O’Reilly.
Mighty Mighty Monsters focuses on a bunch of classic movie monster kids, such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and Wolf Man, who were expelled from monster school and sent to a human immersion program, which basically means that they get enrolled in a normal human middle school, where they come face to face with the terrifying tween culture. Mighty Mighty Monsters will first appear as a 2 x 44 HD specials entitled “Halloween Havoc” and “New Fears Eve”.
Former Electronic Arts Production Designer Gil Rimmer will be leading Bron Animation as creative director, with help from Ben Burden Smith, who was formerly a Goldtooth Creative Associate Creative Director.
“it is a rare pleasure to build a CG animation company where we place story and visual development in the forefront. We have assembled an amazing mix of creative, production and technical team members allowing us to be independently creative and lead the charge with our first developed property, Mighty Mighty Monsters.” Says Rimmer.
