Cake Acquires Dennis the Menace and Gnasher

Kids’ and family entertainment content distributor Cake has recently announced a new distribution deal that they have signed with DC Thomson for series four of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher. Series 4 of the show will consist of 52 episodes, and was produced by Red Kite Animation and Sticky Pictures.

Dennis the Menace and Gnasher focuses on the titular characters, whose adventures and natural penchance for mischief always lead them straight into trouble. It is their unflinching dedication to question rules and push boundaries that earned the reputation of being The Ultimate Menace.

Ed Galton, CCO & Managing Director, CAKE, “It is a great honour to pick up a show such as Dennis the Menace and Gnasher, especially as it is so beloved by audiences. We are really looking forward to introducing it to a whole new target audience on the international market. The bold look and fantastic storylines are what keeps this series fresh and makes it stand out.

DC Thomson Head of Brand (Consumer Entertainment) Tim Collins said, “We are thrilled that CAKE has picked up the latest series of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher. It’s based on iconic British comic, The Beano, and has been very successful here in the UK, so we have high hopes for the international market.”

Ken Anderson, CEO of Red Kite Ltd & Executive Producer for the series said “We are delighted to have Tom, Ed and the talented team at CAKE on board DC Thomson’s hugely entertaining series Dennis the Menace and Gnasher that continues to go from strength to strength.”

Donna Andrews, CEO of Sticky Pictures Pty Ltd & Executive Producer “It’s been a pleasure to produce the latest series of Dennis the Menace and Gnasher with DC Thomson and Red Kite Animation. And now we have the icing on the… series with CAKE distributing Dennis worldwide.”
