CAKE to Distribute Fleabag Monkeyface

Kids’ entertainment company Cake has recently acquired worldwide distribution rights for the popular gross-out comedy cartoon Fleabag Monkeyface, which is scheduled for the MIPTV market next month. Cake will also offer Let’s Go Pocoyo, Plankton Invasion, and Total Drama: Revenge of the Island on MIPTV at stand R30.18.

Fleabag Monkeyface is co-produced by Sparky Animation, Impossible Kids, Editude Pictures, and Walker Productions. Based on characters by the award-winning writers duo Knife and Packer, the 52×11 series follows the adventures of half-monkey/half-boy Fleabag Monkeyface, and his creators Gene and Gerald. Each episode features a broadcast of their TV series entitled “Gross Out TV”, in which the trio air their latest disgusting discoveries while dealing with evil plots by their archenemy Dr. Dirk Spamflex.

“We’re excited to add Sparky Animation, Impossible Kids, Editude Pictures and Walker Productions to the group of producers we work with,” said CAKE CEO & Creative Director Tom van Waveren. “The show looks great and puts a smile on your face – and we know the market will respond to that.”
