Capcom to Remaster DuckTales for All 3 Major Consoles
If you’re old enough to remember Disney’s animated series DuckTales, there are probably two important things you remember about it. First is that it had one of the best cartoon theme songs EVER. Second is that it also has a very good action platforming game on the NES.
Capcom and Wayforward Technologies (the folks behind the awesome Adventure Time game on the DS) have recently announced a modern update on the classic Ducktales game with DuckTales Remastered, which will be launching on the XBLA, PSN, and Wii U eShop this summer for $15.
It’s still going to be the same as the NES game, but given an HD refresh as the sprites are now completely hand-drawn, and the stages are rendered in 3D. The voices for the game will be done by authentic Disney voice actors, and as the trailer below suggests, the theme song from the TV show will be retained:
