Captain Planet Gets a Digital Release on April

One of the Saturday morning gems of the 90s, Captain Planet and the Planeteers (along with its other iterations The New Adventures of Captain Planet and The All New Adventures of Captain Planet), will be making a grand return this April 10 via a digital download release of all six seasons of the environment-focused action adventure series.

For the uninitiated, Captain Planet and the Planeteers focuses on a team of five teens from all over the globe who are chosen to help defend Earth from environmental disasters. To help them in their task, each teen was given a ring with the power to control an element of nature, including earth, fire, wind, water, and the heart. When the teens encounter enemies that are beyond their capabilities, they can combine the powers in their rings in order to summon the superhero Captain Planet, who has the power to bring any catastrophic environmental disaster to an end.

Individual seasons of the series will be going on sale for $9.99 and $14.99, while single episodes can be purchased for $1.99 each. The series will be distributed digitally through major content providers, including iTunes, Amazon Video, Google Play, Vudu, Playstation Store and Xbox Store.
